Anyway, welcome to my blog, I am Murasaki Rose aka: Jeanne, and the picture to the right is obviously an anime version of myself, drawn by yours truly.
Here you'll find the random ramblings and insights of a slightly obsessive Yu-Gi-Oh/DBZ fangirl.

The new room icon by Murasaki Rose (me)
Well, we finally did it. We finished my room . . . mostly.
*grins* I suppose I oughta explain that ne? Basically, we finished enough that I could move in. The walls are painted a lovely shade of purple (kinda a grape color), while the doors and ceiling are an ultra-pale shade of lavender, and all the trim is black. It looks amazing. My parents even found a carpet color pattern that matches the walls quite nicely.
All my furniture (both new and old) has been assembled and put in, and most of my wall hangings have been put up. There's still a bit of work for me to do regarding decorating, but not so much that I'm not comfortable down here. I've got my first walk-in closet. ^___^ I've installed shelves on one side and there's clothing on the other, complete with double bars on half of it.
I probably should mention that it's a basement room.
I don't have a window. It was too expensive to cut one. What I do have is an outside door. @_@ I've actually adjusted to that easier than I'd thought I would. There's a little window in the door, so I bought a magnetic curtain rod and some nice black curtains to shield the sun and keep people from seeing in.
There's still a bit of work to be done though. Not all my door trim and baseboards have been painted, the hooks aren't in my closet yet, my second set of track lights still need to be painted and hung, my bookshelves haven't been built, my phone line hasn't been connected, and there isn't a grate on my heating/air vent.
But my cable and Internet are connected and that's really all I need.
